Ellipsis proudly provides no-cost communications expertise to Australian organisations that are working to eliminate violence against women.
Who is eligible?
The Just Words program is available to any registered not-for-profit organisation seeking to protect women from violence and support victim-survivors. Capacity limits apply.
Why is Ellipsis doing this?
Because words matter. Research has shown that language can contribute to and accelerate violence against women by shaping societal attitudes, reinforcing gender stereotypes and inequality, and normalising disrespect.
However, language can also have a real and measurable impact on awareness, education and action. It can challenge and change harmful norms, attitudes and behaviours – helping to defend and bring justice to those whose health, livelihoods and lives are threatened by violence and abuse every day.
Ellipsis respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we operate – the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin – and pays respect to their Elders past and present. Ellipsis acknowledges and honours the unbroken connection they have maintained to Country for more than 2000 generations and supports a Treaty in Victoria.
